a cold-caller’s best friend: chatgpt

cold calling is hard — but you don’t have to do it alone.

what if you had a personal assistant who could:

  • write your cold call scripts
  • help you respond to objections
  • generate lead magnets and emails
  • even suggest new markets to target?

you do. it’s called chatgpt — and if you use it right, it’s your best sales hire.

this week is all about how to use ai to build a smarter, more scalable cold calling system.

why use chatgpt?

“ai won’t replace you.
but someone using ai will.”

chatgpt helps you think faster, write better, and stay consistent — even when you’re tired or overwhelmed.

you still bring the human touch — it just makes your job 10x easier.

how to talk to chatgpt

most people use it wrong.

they ask it to “write a cold call script” and it gives them something robotic.

but if you feed it the right info — it can give you amazing output.

👇 here’s how to structure your prompts:

step 1: feed it your business

before asking for help, give context.

start your prompt with:

“i run [your business]. we help [who you help] with [the problem you solve] by [your method].”

then add your offer:

“our current offer is [your service or product]. we’re currently targeting [audience or market].”

example:

i run keiste.com. we help small business owners build scalable revenue by creating click-to-call cold calling workspaces. we offer a free training challenge, and we’re targeting solo tradespeople, coaches, and consultants.

step 2: give it your worksheet answers

remember the questions from article 2’s worksheet? drop those in too:

  • your unique selling point
  • your competitive advantage
  • the crazy-value freebie you offer
  • your brand touchpoints (newsletter, e-book, demo, etc.)
  • the next step you want your leads to take

the more detail, the better the results.

step 3: ask smart questions

after giving context, try prompts like:

🎯 script help

write a cold call script that introduces my business in 30 seconds. include a soft ask at the end.

🎯 objection handling

give me short, confident responses to these objections: “not interested”, “send me something”, “too expensive”.

🎯 lead generation

suggest 5 potential micro-niches or “low-hanging fruit” target markets i could focus on.

🎯 content ideas

suggest 3 lead magnets or brand touchpoints i could create to build trust and capture leads.

use ai like a teammate, not a tool

don’t just copy/paste whatever it gives you.

instead:

  1. ask it to brainstorm
  2. edit it in your tone
  3. test it in real calls
  4. come back and improve it with results

chatgpt is great at version 1.
you bring the real-world edge.

pro tip: save your prompt

paste your full “context prompt” in a notes doc — so you can reuse it and get consistent, high-quality help.
